Proverb
Hello again MolleyWhopper,
Your situation has brought out the trickster in me, and I haven't been able to completely blank it from my mind. It has since reminded me of a Biblical Proverb:
"A trap set in sight of the bird is for naught"
This has a dual meaning. First the obvious, if the bird sees you set the trap, it may avoid it. Second, a bird is a dumb animal that doesn't understand the meaning of the trap.
Perhaps if you set up something in the sight of this bird, such as the fishing line with cans, it will intrigue and challenge the bird. But this is after you set up the camera. While he is avoiding one trap, he is falling into the other.
Also, as per aardvarc's suggestion, find a way to make sure that there is something to reference time and date. However, your animal cam may do this automatically.
Good hunting,
Lawford
