We are in need of an attorney to handle a Felony Aggravated Assault Case. The case has been assigned to Superior Court of De Kalb County. Case # 03CR1661 The Judge Assigned is Robert Castellani. The indictment was filed Feb 27. I have spoken with the investigator and we realize that a dismissal is probably not likely but we need to get the charge reduced to a misdemeaner because of my husbands' occupation. We have a 3 year old child and a felony would not benefit our lives. The basics of the case are that on Oct 26 2002 My husband and I had an altercation. I was stabbed in the leg and had to receive medical care. My husband admits responsibility. When he was taken to bail hearing the report given to the Judge was grossly exaggerated. I posted the 11000 bail and he was released. We are seeking Psychological Care and my husband is going to attend domestic violence classes here in Augusta. The incident was not characteristic of our relationship unfortunately we have suffered several disasters over the past year and a half and the stress had gotten to us. I am Bipolar so I am receiving Psychological Care. My husband is not a violent man. He is a good husband and a wonderful father.
