I sign a contract with a pool company for an above ground pool. I didn't cancel the contract because I was ill. I never paid a down payment, nor did they install the pool. They said either I can let them install the pool or they would put a lien against my property. Can they make me honor this contract. They aren't out any money and I am not either, but they want to install the pool and collect monthly payments for seven years from me or charge me a $4,800.00 cancellation fee and a lien. Is there anyway to get out of this contract?
