Default college searchs my bookstore account for evidence

I have a student hearing over alligations. The college when to the in house bookstore they own BUT leaseout to a full time company. They gathered information to use against me in a hearing. The items I purchased were not from any type of school funds or loans of any kind but my personal funds. The funny part is if they would have asked me I would have gave them the information but not now. Is this criminal and or civil?

If it is done by the college, it is administrative.
