Default Citizenship Pending due to separation

Hi, Im Lyn from Illinois. I've been married for 10 years & 5 months and been living in the United States for the past nine years. I applied for my citizenship, had the interview, passed the tests of English ans US history and government. They cannot make a decision on my papers yet till I send them the requirements. One of my requirement is to give them a proof where my husband and I were living together. We are separated but not in bad term, he comes and stay with we and I do the same thing with him at his place. We have a son. We are working on our marriage and trying to resolve our ups and downs. What should I do since my husband is not on my lease agreement to show that we are still together but not at the same place living together? Any advice or suggestions? Please reply, many thanks from this forum. Do I need a lawyer? Can I resolved this myself?

I can certainly understand this is a frustrating situation for you. I do suggest you contact an attorney, though. It certainly doesn't hurt to get some professional advice about this. You can find an attorney through the locator service on LawInfo’s home page at: http://www.lawinfo.com/.

You can also browse through the information in LawInfo’s Free Legal Resource Center here: http://www.lawinfo.com/index.cfm/fus...lient.consumer, or search for your particular topic here: http://resources.lawinfo.com/index.html.

Momzie -
I'd like to help you if I can, but I need to know how long you have had your greencard first. If you had a temporary greencard before you got a permanent greencard, I need to know how long you have had your permanent greencard.
