Unhappy Child's extracirricular activities--Ex says NO!!

My ex and I have a court order that states he must pay half of all "AGREED TO" extracurricular activities.
My son does gymnastics all week and my ex just decided he didn't agree to it and now doesn't have to pay half, leaving all the burden to me. It gets expensive.

My son is in "Independent Study" (ISPE) in middle school which allows kids to skip P.E. class if they take 10+ hours/week of a sport or activity. The ISPE program is monitored carefully by the school district and the application process is a lot of paperwork. He has to turn in progress reports every month tracking hours, etc.

Would the Court still consider his gymnastics an "extracurricular activity" if the school gives him credit? And if so, doesn't my ex need to pay half? In other words, can he still say NO, I won't pay because I don't agree to it?
If it's a school related class, does my ex have an option to say NO?
My son has been taking gymnastics for over 8 years now and wants to get a scholarship to college. It's not something I can just drop and pull the rug from under my son who has worked so hard all these years.

Thanks for any advice.

The court is going to have to decide this one, but if he has agreed to it for the past 8 years he is going to have to explain why he now doesn't agree. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

Default "Ageed to"

The court will have to decide. Of course he should have the right to agree or not to, to agree for a time and to later withdraw agreement if the court has set it up for him to pay half.

You wil most likely need to go to court and straighten this out, but I wouldn't count on winning any back money prior to a new court order.

Where on Earth are you getting that dad pays for "everything"? The court order says HALF. Mom is obviously paying at least that much now.
