My husband's parents have had custody of his son. His ex-wife and he filed papers a couple of weeks ago to give his ex-wife primary custody and he would have visitation. They have agreed to no child support (we openly give when needed). The question is by Texas law do you have to pay child support period or is this something that is worked out between the parties involved. According to the documents filed it states we are not to pay support BUT can Texas law override this?
