Default Child custody question

My wife and I recently have decided to divorce...She is living in my house and is putting me off week after week on seeing our child...Is it legal for me to just go and get our child? and if so what actions should I take to do so? also is there a reason like a dead line she is trying to put me off for...like some kind of abadonment law....

As long as there is no court order in place, you typically do not need to leave the house and still have rights to the child. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
