Angry car rental charge

I am not sure I am in the correct forum but here is my problem. A travel agency reserved a car for me two days before my trip in Costa Rico. When I arrived in Costa Rico the rental car agency said I had not paid for the car and tried to charge my account again. At this point my credit card company put a fraud alert on my card and I was not able to rent the car and I left the rental car agency without a rental car. The next day I informed the travel agency that I did not get the car and also called my credit card company. The credit card company took the fraud alert off my card. Now the travel agency is refusing to credit my account for the amount charged for the car rental and the credit card company is now saying they never put a fraud alert on my card. I am now out $800 and do not know where to turn. The travel agency is still refusing to credit my account and the credit card company says they did not put a fraud alert on my credit card which they had previously told me at least four times. Besides still trying to get my $800 back where do I file a complaint against the credit card company? I have filed a complaint with the BBB against the travel agency. If the credit card did not put a fraud alert on my credit card and stop my renting the car I would have no problem but they are refusing to help me.

I can understand this is a frustrating situation for you! I would agree with looking into a complaint against the BBB. You may also be able to file a complaint with the company's internal departments at well. You can certainly try to speak to an attorney regarding your legal options.
You can find more information about an attorney through the attorney locator service on LawInfo's home page at: http://www.lawinfo.com/. Some do offer free consultations.
