My son, Miles, went to Sitka to visit his father. The 2 of them were in an altercation(in April) and my son is now in Juneau. He was first taken to the Johnson Youth Center and is now at Cornerstone. He has a trial coming up the 1st of July. His Dad sent a lawyer to be at the 1st hearing to be appointed My sons attourney. This attourney has not done 1 thing for my son.
He has not been able to tell his side of the story yet. He has 2 counts of assault, his father has none. His Dad assaulted Miles first and for some reason the adult is not haveing any repercusions at all.

I am in Oregon and would like for Miles to have a different attourney. Is there something he can do himself to get another attourney? I don't think you have to accept the attourney appointed. He desperately needs legal advice.

I have full, physical custody.
