Default Can my employer accuse me of having stealing money if that's not true?

Can my employer accuse me of having stealing money if that's not true? There is no charge, only a threatening letter.
I worked in a restaurant as a second job for one month, but I quit because they didn't paid me. I sent them a certified mail where I said that I would have suited them if they did not paid me. They did not, so I suited them. After 2 weeks they wrote me a letter where they said that I have been fired because I stole 1000 dollars! That's no true! I went to the police station but there is not any charge on me. In the letter they were threatening me of letting me lose my green card if I went on wanting to suit them. I never committed any crime of any kind, I am absolutely honest and "clean". So do I have to worry? I have intention to go to court and talk to the judge and show him all my evidences. Thanks

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
