Default Can I have my settlement annuity contract changed?

My contract states that it can’t be sold but the contract was written before I was 18, could I get this changed?

Default Change your Contract

That is a great question for your attorney. Either the one who settled the case as your representative or a new attorney who could address the legalities of the issue.

I'm not an attorney so I can't say how that would work.

On another note, many annuity contracts say they cannot be sold or transfered, in fact, almost all of them do. But Federal Law gives you the right to accelerate your payout as long you follow the guidelines of the law.

We'd be happy to discuss this further with you or your attorney.
