Default Can the Feds Deny Me A Writ of Cert to the Supreme Ct?

Short Story - They Denied my my Disability on July 7th 2009 and entered a Mandate,I entered a request for an en banc and received it. was denied it and entered mandate on the 18th of October I moved to recall mandate and filed an incomplete en banc due to mental illness but was denied and promptly filed a motion for a writ of certiorari to the supreme ct. Now can they deny it to me or what? I have no idea or limit my time? I need to know. I am totally stressed out, barfing and having seizures and not being able to take my meds. I am a total basket case.

Who is the "they" that initially denied disability?

What is the nature and circumstance of the disability?

What made the case of such legal significance or complexity that the appellate court granted an en banc rehearing?

Yes, the SC can deny Certiorari and allow the decision of the Appellate Court to stand. It takes a minimum of 4 Justices to grant Certiorari, and in fact, they deny MOST such requests, hearing only 100 to 150 cases per term out of hundreds of thousands of requests.

Thanks For the Quick Reply - whak I meant by "they" is the lower fed appeals ct. I understand that my chance at cert is only 1-2%. But the proproblem lies herein: the 9th cir refused to allow me a vcoational expert to testify at my hearing where I had a non-exertional disability and no atty would take my case because my first atty screwed my case up so bad. that no subsequent atty would take the case on. The case is of nat'l importance and one where there is of uniformity of a supreme court case namely Heckler v. Campbell. I have done my homework. No choice but to.

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

Okay - I phoned the Feds up today and got the answer I needed - from here on in I need to file all my pleadings and papers with the suereme ct including my petiton to supreme ct to move the case to supreme ct and the in forma pauperis and those goodies - the case is closed at the federal court level. My Printer is out of ink-drats - but I have up until the the 14th of Jan to get everything out - that is when my 90 days is up to petition the supreme ct from when the mandate issued
