Default Can this D.E.A.agent do what he says and does anyone have an opinion if he will.

I am on Parole for burglary. i ran a man over and killed him 2 months ago. I was charged with misdameanor homicide by vehicle. I had a parole hold on me but it was lifted and i was released. 1 month ago i went to a party and the girl having the party invited everyone to help theirselves to anything in the house. I had been dating her for 4 mos. She asked me if i could sell her 55" tv and her and i took it to be sold. I have witnesses that saw her with the tv in her car. While we were gone the other people at the party helped themselves to jewelry, camcorders etc around the house. It turns out that the house belonged to her boyfriends parents who were away on vacation. Her boyfriend was serving a short sentence in jail. She left before the parents returned home and of course they called the police. She then called the police from wherever she's at and implicated several of the people that was there, including me. I have a friend that used to be in law enforcement and now is a bondsman. He directed me to a D.E.A. agent who told me that if my girlfriend and i helped him bust some people that he would make this charge go away. We agreed. That was 3 days ago. My girlfriend called the warrants division at the jail and they said that i only have a parole hold on me. i called the D.E.A. agent and he told me that the hold was reissued for the homicide by vehicle but he couldnt really tell me why Another guy at the party was arrested for theft by taking yesterday in connection with this incident. My question is does this D.E.A. man have the power to help me and do you thnk he will. There is alot more to this story but thats the gist of it.

Typically only the attorney prosecuting the case can make deals. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
