Default Cameras/violations

I received a citation in the mail with pictures of my vehicle before the white line at the red light and over the red light. On that day I was new/never in the area before and the sunlight was glaring into my eyes. I stopped at the red light but noticed that I was over the white line. I ultimately looked back and pulled behind the white line I do remember this incident very well. I had passed my turn by one block and ended up making a turn at that intersection to go back one block. I don't feel that since I did not blow the red light I should be charged with a violation. I know that this is new in MD. I wrote to the courts and asked them to look at the pictures which will show that I did back up my brake lights were on in the photo's they sent to me. I also noted that the glare was significant on my vehicle and the vehicle next to me that would identify that there was a visibility problem. I was not into the intersection and that the red light was on the opposite side of the intersection. Is there any other defense? i.e. placing of the light/signs calibration of the cameras my ability to obtain all pictures taken for this incident? Any help would be appreciated. I tried to ask the court for assistance in this matter probably won't help but the evidence they used against me should help my defense. joewills at comcast dot net

Default Response

It may be wise to have your specific factual situation analyzed by an attorney in your jurisdiction. And you should have this done IMMEDIATELY so that you don't lose important rights. Many lawyers offer a free or low-cost initial consultation just for the purpose of determining whether they can help you. Don't be afraid to contact them. Our Lead Counsel Panels at http://www.lawinfo.com/law/ are a great way to find a lawyer in your area on the internet. Best of luck!
