I'm being sued for a truck that I was buying and returned when i lost my job and could not afford to pay for the truck anymore. I only had one late payment and I did a volentary surrender of the truck instead of trying to hide it from them or something like that. They sold me the truck for about twice what it was really worth and when I returned the truck it was in better condition than when i bought it. It does state that in my contract that I would still have to pay for the truck in such an event but being that this was my first vehicle purchase and I'm young I think that the salesman did not mention this on purpose. He told me the form that this info was stated on wasn't important and I only needed to initial it.
