Default Ban lifted but documents still exist??

Hello guys!

My problem is that I feel a private security firm is being dishonest with me. Bit of background: I was issued a Notification of Barring for 1 year from a public area similar to a promenade in MD by a company called American Protective Services for what they call 1800 CDS and 1500 Weapons. I was barred because I was caught while celebrating my best friend's last day in the States before he went off to college in Australia by smoking a very small amount of marijuana in the parking lot, which I am assuming is the CDS. As for the weapons charge, my buddy had bought me a 4" engraved knife as a farewell gift and given it to me THAT night, so the security officer penalized me for having it in my pocket, even though it was in the box and I showed it to him to avoid any problems in the first place. When the police officer arrived, he understood and did not give us any formal citations, thankfully, but we were still barred. They took our photographs and made us sign forms saying Pursuant to a bunch of trespassing laws, etc, we couldn't come back

Anyway, the barring ended, and when I went back with my family for dinner, the security officer stopped me! I explained to him that the year was over and he apologized. When I went to the security office, they said my file was "deleted from their system" but they wouldnt give me the paper copy of my contract back nor my photograph! How can I know that they truly deleted my file? I really don't like the idea of such a record existing, especially under the very annoying circumstances.

PS - I never said anyone could take my picture, my professor says that is a violation of my rights. Is that true?

Thanks for the help, and sorry if this is in the wrong category. I wasn't sure where to put it.

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
