Bad Faith
My husband was a passenger in an automobile accident we hired an attorney who from the start we felt that he was not taking our best intrest very seriously. He told us that the driver had the best insurance then came to us with an amount that they had offered. He told us not to even bother how he was going to fight for us. He stated that we had a bad faith case and that we were looking at well over 6 figures. Needless to say 6 months later we have no jobs going to the doctor 3-4 times a week. We our personal loans for or morgage and we lost our car so we had to rent one. And one of the doctors that we have to go to is over 150 miles away. Not that we wanted to be millionaires we just wanted our lives back and I want my husband back. We are now told that we don't have a case and that we have to settle for the policy. His advice take it. After doctor bills and his bill we had enough to buy a weeks worth of groceries. Is this how these things happen? Or did he just not fight for us. If this is the norm I would of taken the offer which by the way was more then then they paid in the end. Is it worth looking into to file a bad faith claim now I am of the understanding that they are seperate cases?
