Default Auto reposesion

I recently had a car reposesed. As everyone probably knows, the lender will auction the car off and i'll end up haveing to pay however much i still owe on it, minus what they get for it at the auction, whitch will probably be about half of what i still owe on it if i'm lucky. I was wondering what limitations Idaho law puts on collecting the ammount still owed after the car is auctiond off. The lender has accepted late payments many times in the past without complaint, I was not informed at all that the car was going to be reposesed, there were personal property in the car and I have not ben informed as to the date or location of the auction. Would any of this help my case at all? Any info or advice would be very appreciated.

Honestly, no. If you are late, they have the right to reposess the car. You need to check out your state's statutes for the statute of limitations on debt collection. You should be able to find it on the state website.
