Default Attorneys bickering...refusing to work together! HELP!!

Without going into details, we have been involved in a lawsuit for 5 years now. The gist of the suit is my son suffered permanent mental deficiencies, psychological issues, and facial disfigurement due to the neglegence of a company who did not have their equipment property put together/maintained.

For 5 long years this has drug on. Our original attorney brought two others on board to share in the work load and award which is hopefully to come (for my son, not myself). We are supposed to be going to trial in October.

Just YESTERDAY I received an email from ATTY #3 informing me ATTY #1 & #2 are fighting over a fee split from another case and are now refusing to work with one another...or more accurately one is refusing to work with the other. ATTY #3 (the one who contacted me) has chosen sides with ATTY #1 due to their personal and professional relationships and has announced he will not work with ATTY #2 either.

Although ATTY #1 was who we signed with originally, we have had nothing but poor communication from him and the bulk of our interaction has been with ATTY #2. ATTY #3 was brought in without our knowledge 4 years into this lawsuit thanks to ATTY #1.

ATTY #2 has offered to continue representing us regardless of the tensions between them and #1 & #3 but has informed them both that they have invested 300+ hours and over $26K into our case.

I am not even in the same country any longer so showing up at these fools offices is not an option. WHAT DO I DO??? I do NOT want my son's case jeopardized because of a bunch of grown men acting like children! Should I involve the Bar? Are they allowed to pull this crap??

I realize this is not a family Law issue but I am trying to place my question in an area of high traffic since there is no "My Attorney Is An Idiot" forum. Any response would be greatly appreciated!!

I can understand that this is frustrating. I certainly would suggest that you contact your local bar or state bar.
