Not keeping up with prison sentencing I was shocked to learn that here in GA armed robbery is 10 yrs mandatory. I have a real close friend whose 18 yr old son was recently charged with armed robbery burglary and criminal intent to commit armed robbery. This young man has been has not been in jail long and is waiting to see if a bail can be set. My question is with my friend shelling out 10K is it possible to have these charges reduced to something to keep him out of prison.
