Hi, I need a little advice.Just found out my 2 kids were adopted 5 1/2 yrs ago.From reading Iowa law I'm not sure how ex pulled it off.None of the grounds for adoption would apply. I am still paying child support for these kids and have for last 7yrs that have steadily been garnished out of my check from same job ,same place of residence.They cant say lack of support,and couldnt find me.I need to find out how this happened and who the dhs investigator was that was assigned to the case was.Can I get this overturned?How do I find out where all the child support has been going?Thanks for any info.

I can understand that this is a frustrating situation. I would suggest that you really do need to get an attorney to help you with this. First, your rights would have to have been terminated for them to be adopted and you would have had to have notice of that. I am assuming that you have no visitation with them at this point or for the past few years. Really, an attorney is the best one to help you get to the bottom of this.
