Texas is very narrow and specific about which crimes can be expunged from a criminal record, and under what circumstances. If there was an actual conviction, it gets much less likely. She needs to check her criminal record and see which EXACT statutes she was convicted under (or pled to) and consult with a criminal defense attorney who specializes in expungement to see if she has any hope. Typically, it's a one shot deal. Since there appear to be TWO different charges, even expungement of one charge may not gain the result she desires. And, depending on who checks her background, even expunged charges will show up when applying for positions in law enforcement, social services, and several other occupations to whom even expunged charges will be revealed.

While pointers can be helpful, ultimately the number one lesson in any legal action is: don't take legal advice from books, family, friends, co-workers, police officers, grocery clerks, web sites, or people on legal message boards. The only person who can give YOU legal advice is YOUR attorney.
